Be Transfigured

Our Mission at Holy Transfiguration American Coptic Orthodox Church is to live and preach a life transfigured by our relationship with God through the pure Orthodox faith, fully participating in the life-giving Sacraments, fully immersing ourselves in the life of the Church, and fully striving to imitate the pure and perfect example of Christ.

Plans Moving Forward

updated 5/16/2022

Update for the Preschool Class (3 & 4 year olds)

Room Change:

Due to the increasing class sizes, the preschool class and the 1st/2nd grade class switched their classrooms. So Preschool will be at the end of the hallway (by the altar door), and 1st/2nd will be the first room across the bathroom.

Currently when a child turns 3 years old, they can enter the Preschool class. This hasn't been an issue in the past as the number of children hasn't been that many. However, with the growth of the church we need to adjust this policy.

Moving forward, there will be 3 "fixed entry points" into the Preschool Class:

1. Sept. 11th (Nayrouz) the beginning of the Coptic year

2. The Sunday after Holy Nativity Feast (Jan 7th)

3. The Sunday after the Feast of the Resurrection (which is Thomas Sunday)

Drop off to class:

Its important that when you drop off your kids to preschool, that they first stop and have a potty break. Also, if possible, send your child with a spill proof water bottle (with their names on it).

Baby and Me Class: A Request

For the Baby and Me class, we ask that one parent at a time participates with the child in the class.

This will help in one major aspect:

Space is very limited in the area we hold that class, and this will help with space issues.

  • Other adults (grandparents, and spouses, etc.) are welcome to join the adult class upstairs on Sundays

Hymns Classes

God willing we will offer Hymns Classes every Sunday (after Sunday School).
