Be Transfigured

Our Mission at Holy Transfiguration American Coptic Orthodox Church is to live and preach a life transfigured by our relationship with God through the pure Orthodox faith, fully participating in the life-giving Sacraments, fully immersing ourselves in the life of the Church, and fully striving to imitate the pure and perfect example of Christ.

Plans Moving Forward

Divine Liturgies

  • We will no longer require registration for any of our Divine Liturgies, including the weekend ones.

  • We ask that those who are unvaccinated please continue to wear their masks. We will continually monitor the mask recommendations.

Distribution of the Holy Mysteries

  • To minimize any accidents, we are encouraging everyone to take Holy Communion the "pre-covid" way.

  • Especially, in receiving the Precious Blood, kindly sip from the Mysteer, as if you are sipping "soup" from a spoon.

Sunday School

  • We will continue to offer Sunday School IN PERSON FOR ALL CLASSES on Sundays after the Divine Liturgy, as we were doing "pre-Covid."

  • We ask that those who are unvaccinated please continue to wear their masks.

Hymns Classes

  • Moving forward, are looking to be very intentional with our hymns classes. God willing we will continue to offer classes after Vespers Raising of Incense on Saturday evenings. Hymns will be from 6:30pm - 7pm

  • In order to encourage more families to attend consistently, and based on your feedback, the new time for Vespers on Saturday Night will be 6pm - 6:30pm.

"We made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'" (2 Peter 1:16-17)
