Be Transfigured

Our Mission at Holy Transfiguration American Coptic Orthodox Church is to live and preach a life transfigured by our relationship with God through the pure Orthodox faith, fully participating in the life-giving Sacraments, fully immersing ourselves in the life of the Church, and fully striving to imitate the pure and perfect example of Christ.

Plans Moving Forward

updated 1/10/2022

  • Sunday School will be back in person starting 1/16. We ask for your support with having the children wear masks in the classrooms.

Masks

  • The current recommendation by the CDC and His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion is that everyone wear a mask indoors in areas of substantial to high transmission.

  • We are asking that all parishioners @ HTC (both vaccinated and unvaccinated) wear masks (to cover both nose and mouth) indoors.

We are asking for your understanding, patience and prayers during this time.

Distribution of the Holy Mysteries

  • To minimize any accidents, we are encouraging everyone to take Holy Communion the "pre-covid" way.

  • Especially, in receiving the Precious Blood, kindly sip from the Mysteer, as if you are sipping "soup" from a spoon.

  • After receiving the Precious Blood, please take care not to touch your lips with anything (hands, mask, corporal, etc.) until you drink water. This is to ensure we revere the Holy Blood by only placing it inside our bodies (The Holies for the holy").

Building Update

Thank God, we have completed the construction documents and submitted them to the City of Chino Hills! If God wills, we hope to have the grading permit by November 2021 and the building permit by April 2022!!!!

For more information, please visit our Building Project page of this website.

"We made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'" (2 Peter 1:16-17)
