Feast of Pentecost this Sunday June 8!

This Sunday we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and the birth of the Church. It is a day that reminds us of the power, unity, and bold witness that comes when we are led by the Holy Spirit.

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”— Acts 1:8

May the same Spirit fill your heart, renew your strength, and guide you in all truth.

Please join us for the Prostration Prayers after Liturgy on Sunday.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy on the Feast of Pentecost, the Church invites the faithful to participate in a special set of prayers known as the Prostration Prayers or "Sagda." These deeply reverent prayers mark the end of the Holy Fifty Days and the beginning of the Fast of the Apostles.

In these prayers, we kneel and bow down—physically and spiritually—offering worship to the Holy Trinity, and particularly honoring the Holy Spirit, who descended upon the Church on this day.

Through these prostrations, we humble ourselves before God, expressing repentance, worship, and total dependence on the grace of the Holy Spirit—who gives life to the Church and dwells within each believer.

Blessed Pentecost to you and your family!
