Father David Abdelsayed was born in California in 1974. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1996, a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering in 1999, and another Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2005.
He served at Saint Mary & Saint Athanasius church, Northridge as a Sunday School servant and Youth Leader from 1996 to 2002. In 1999, he became a consecrated servant in the Diocese of Los Angeles.
He served at Saint Verena and the Three Holy Youth Church from 2002 until his ordination as a Deacon on February 2, 2006.
On February 19, 2006 he was ordained a presbyter and served at Saint Maurice Church in Pomona from 2006 to 2015.
In 2014, His Eminence asked Fr. David, along with Fr. Daniel Habib and Fr. Moses Samaan, to help start a new American Coptic Orthodox Parish in Chino Hills.
In August 2015, His Eminence accepted the request by the congregation of Holy Transfiguration to have Fr. David as its first fully-dedicated priest.
Father Daniel Nashed was born in California in 1982. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 2005. He went on to obtain his teaching credential, and Masters in Education, and Administrators credential.
Prior to his ordination to the priesthood, Fr. Daniel taught high school math in the Garden Grove school district.
He served at St. Verena & the Three Holy Youth Church for many years, then at Holy Transfiguration Church from its inception until his ordination at Holy Transfiguration Church on August 21, 2016.
Fr. Daniel served as a priest for one year at Archangel Michael Church, Santa Ana, and another year at St. Verena & the Three Holy Youth Church.
In August 2018, he began his service at Holy Transfiguration Church until the present time.
His passions in the service include Christian education and youth services.
Archdeacon Severus Mikhail was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1974. His family moved to California in 1983. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Cal Poly Pomona. He then went on to obtain his Masters in History and a PhD in the History of the Near and Middle East at UCLA in 2004. His dissertation was "Egypt from Late Antiquity to Early Islam: Copts, Melkites, and Muslims Shaping a New Society," which won Honorable Mention for the Malcolm H. Kerr Dissertation Award conferred by the Middle East Studies Association.
Prior to his ordination as a deacon, he served at St. John Church in Covina from 1983-1998 and St. Verena and the Three Holy Youth Church from 1998 until his ordination as a deacon on September 12, 1999.
Deacon Severus served at St. Verena and the Three Holy Youth Church, St. Maurice Church, St. John Church, then finally St. Mark Church in LA, where he served for the last 16 years.
On May 16, 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion accompanied by His Grace Bishop Abraham, and His Grace Bishop Kyrillos elevated Deacon Severus Mikhail, as Archdeacon Severus Mikhail to serve at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Los Angeles.
In January 2025, he began his service at Holy Transfiguration Church until the present time.
